Had a little bit of time to kill today so, I hit a grade school not far from my house. The school was probably built in the 1970s so I really wasn't expecting anything but clad and hopefully some jewelry. While hunting around the baseball diamond I almost decided to leave when I noticed some awful plugs cut by another detectorist with trash still in the hole. I did my best to clean up his mess and just continued detecting. I got a really nice 12-45 signal and what do you know, about two inches down found this Mercury dime. I was just using a small screwdriver as a probe as I didn't want to disturb the turf. Goes to show it can be anywhere.

Hey Mike,
Thats your reward for cleaning up the mess. Nice job and thank you!

Nice job Mike, and congrats on the Merc. I wonder if the same person is making the rounds of the valley. Had to fix some plugs a few days ago as well and do some tidying up work.

Thanks Rich. It wouldn't suprise me if it's the same guy you've had to clean up after. The school I was at is near where you live. I've seen more and more of this lately.
