I was wanting to hit this old home that they are literally moving on my way home from my CrossFit competition. I drove past the house and there was a guy detecting it. Boy was I upset! I went home and was thinking about not even going out swinging anymore I was tired! It was such a beautiful day that I was going to hit another spot. I drove past the house I wanted to go to originally and he was gone. I stopped and I really wanted to detect it. I had a hour before dark so I started right away. I got a couple steps in and bam wheat head 1944 and a dime right next to it. I was like did he even have his detector on? I stayed in the front yard where he was when I watched him detect. I found coin after coin. Then I thought I hit the mother loan a gold bracelet and SMALL heart!!! It was dark now so I couldn't check to see yet. I just wanted to tell people that it doesn't matter if someone has already been there because obviously he doesn't know how to detect ha. Here is what I found.

Also that son of a gun didn't fill his holes and left trash he found on the ground. Boy if I knew who he was I'd pay him a visit and give back the trash!

Excellent example!
Now go back and hit it again, and take your time instead of being in a rush. I bet you find even more.

First thing tomorrow morning! Let me tell you that was nail heaven. I'm going to go over with my 10.5 coil then after I've done the big sweep go over it again with my digger coil

I like it when someone says it is hunted out. That makes you really test your skills. Congratulations you tested yours and made a 100%.

Many of my best finds were found in placed that were "hunted out".

A cheaper detector in the hands of a good detectorist is always better than good detector in the hands of a poor detectorist. Put a good detector in the hands of a good detectorist and anything can happen!

Absolutely!

Nice finds!

We love hitting sites detected by others!

We were at a place this past sumer that a guy stopped and asked if we were doing any good because he said that he knew a guy that used to detect that place all of the time. Little did he know that Hotrod53 had a Morgan dollar in his pocket, our Mom had an 1865 two cent piece and an indian in her pocket and I had an indian and a merc in mine.

Doesn't happen like that all of the time but more often than not places detected by other turn up some of the best finds.

I went back the very next day and this is what I found. I was finding coins laying on top of the soil! no joke. The picture with the belt buckle I found all that in the same hole. I was just using my pin pointer.

if we hunted only places that never have been detected it would be hard to find a place to go
