..you look up while detecting a new freshwater beach and see another detectorist..who tells you how POUNDED that beach gets. 'There musta been 7 guys with detectors here last time I came out!'. Well dang. No wonder we didn't find a stinkin' thing! LOL... I guess it's time to put some STRATEGERY to work! :ninja:

Don't let anybody tell you nothing is there i have heard that so many times. If i leave every time i hear it i would find nothing, i cant begin to tell you how much i find on those pounded over spots. There is many ways to handle that so called problem look at it this way. Those before you have removed the trash (hopefully) and the easy to get targets now you can go in after them and find the deep gold. I can tell you after a really big Nor

A beach is never hunted out, every tide causes change, a bit like every year the farmer turns over his fields bringing new targets within range(for the land deterctorist).
Any tide,(and there are 23 a day) cuts may appear, sandbanks move and it doesn't need a huricane to do it just the wind in one direction working with or against the current in another and a good spot may be uncovered while another is being filled in, keep at it, read the beach on every visit before you start, then play your hunch

Oh I have not yet BEGUN to fight! I will remind y'all though that this is a freshwater beach, so some of the stuff you mention may exist but on a smaller scale. Considering that I swing an Infinium, and that I had no trouble in the dry stuff with trash, I think I may have an edge on finding the gold when it sinks deeply. I also didn't go out very far into the water (thigh deep), which will be on the agenda for the next time. Mainly this place will require planning and strategy to get the goods before the other guys!
