You Just Never Know........

What will pop up and where it will be.I've been interested in a spot on the side of a road for some time now.It looks to be an old livestock pen with high stone walls that is about 50'x 20'.We decided to pull over and give this spot a try.Nothing turned up in the pen so I hit the woods behind it that looked like an old field. This is a wooded area full of brush and pickers that looks like a maze you have to navigate thru. My first good hit was a button that after cleaning looks to be an old Girl Scout button.Next hit was an 1846 Large Cent then a 17?5 King George II Halfpenny.I'm thinking we are on to something now. After a short while I got a buckle, musket ball, oval rosette?,remains of a pocket watch, and what I believe is an arrow head.On the way out I got the strangest find of all time for me,a skull of some kind of animal. All and all a good two hours of wandering thru a heavily brushed in area.

Take Care, John

I have done a bunch of old map research over the winter of surrounding towns.I tried to locate old roads that are no longer there and located some houses as well. Now we are traking down those cellar holes if we can and trying to hit them.
