You just never Know

Bill in Texas

:detecting: Well I had a little time and went to a tot lot in a city park right in town. After looking the tot lot over and finding it very clean (only about 6 or 7 Targets, all foil except 2). I think that the the little dog is silver (it is a lot nicer than it looks in the picture) and the Heart is pewter. I decided to coin shoot a bit. The park is litter covered in trash from Rusty paper clips to aluminum screw tops and buried cable and pipe everywhere. I knew I would dig a lot of trash for a small amount of targets. I also knew that this park is hunted to death. Well I found about what I thought, except one item as shown in the photo. I wanted to see if my Vaquero would hunt such a over-hunted and trashy sight. Well it worked pretty good considering. Can you pick out the dime? it was the deepest coin at about 5 inches. The spent bullet was at about 6 inches and the 30-06 cartage about 6 inches. I uncovered the bullet tip first and thought what is that. I grabbed it and pulled it out - wow right in town. Bill In Texas :tesoro:

Some bad looking coins. My neighbor has a $2.50 American gold coin (just about the size of a dime) that I tested with my two detectors today. Didn't measure the air depth with a ruler but about same detectable distance as a dime. Anyway, the Cortes called it a pulltab, ring, nickle and #60 on the meter. The Fisher CZ7a meter called it a square pulltab. So, like Bill said "You just never know".

good thing the bullit did not go off you may have been found dead they would have said yep he found metal all right then they would declar the park dangerouse and bring in hasmatt creww spend 200.000 $ cleaning it up

Yup

Looks like just like most of the stuff I find most of the time, I need to go introduce myself to some people that live in the old victorian houses we have around here. Just can't find the time. HH..........Hombre

Bulets still amaze - both in their variety and how many are found. Ive found them everywhere and in no small number. I once found an entire box full!
I love being an American!!
