You have to be kidding me - - - in Central Indiana?

You guys have been putting up with my rookie Etrac questions and I appreciate it. I finally decided I knew what coins signals sounded like and I was going to dig them. If it was questionable or just weird, I let it go. I hit this last night at an old picnic grounds in Central Indiana. It was in terrible shape but I can now see that it is a genuine 1898 English Penny. Pretty happy with it just because it is so different. Was six inches deep in rock hard ground and standing almost on edge. I have found three bucks in clad the last two hunts and three Wheats. I think now it is just a matter of getting the coil over some silver to make me an E trac believer.

Good find Don and glad to hear you are starting to understand the Etrac! She really is a great machine once you get to know her!

it is no real surprise to find that in indiana. Here in Ohio I have dug several of those, plus two King George coppers from the 1700's, one is more than 100 yrs OLDER than my town
