another forum for the Exploder!
IMHO the classroom forum should be just that, a place to help with practical advice and opinions from field experience to help fill in the gaps in the Manual. Maybe you could call it the Explorer 101 classroom forum.
Get Guv to start another forum for Tech discussions during the winter months when many cannot get out and hunt and when cabin fever sets in.
Call it "The Explorer Fireside Chat & Tech Forum".
No offense guys & gals but this is getting worse than some of the brand wars that pop up during the winter months.

I FEEL LIKE I started this with my question about,
when to use Manual and when to use SEMI-AUTO Sensitivity!
I rerun my test on my Garden and Can read the ALL ITEMS at SEMI-AUTO Sens. (at 12 to 14), but no HIGHER!
I can read all ITEMS at Manual Sens.,(16 and higher)!
I bought my Explorer 7 weeks ago, and thought I could get some Real good advice from the board!
Don't get me wrong, you guys have helped, A WHOLE BUNCH!
I think a lot of HOW YOU USE THE EXPLORER IS PERSONAL PREFERENCE, AFTER YOU GET, THE BASIC OPERATIONS DOWN, PAT!
I think a lot of it has to do with, what you are looking for, how much time do you have, your ground conditions, etc!
Learning the SOUNDS of different items, is the Toughfy!
JUST BE PATIENCE WITH US, NEW GUYS, we are trying to learn! Some of you were in our postions, at one time!
Thanks for all the help!

Excellent synopsis in several sentences.
Disagree with one major point use and master an Explorer and you may end your post with dedicated Explorer user. Tom we both know we have tried many and I feel an Explorer has the best guts of any unit around. The idea is to use preset till you get the feel for it , go slow and experiment and above all don't get fancy. In time all will fall into place.Better yet get an experienced Explorer user as a mentor and the learning period will be much shorter. I realize many discussions get quite technical and many confuse a newbie or two so hope one reads all the posts with a grain of salt.Strange as it seems kicking these variables around does help in better understanding a might fine unit..Myself my settings are in my unit set up quite simple and will not be changed for the upcoming season as indeed an Explorer is only as easy or hard as you want it to be and they work for me.
