looking at a general forecast via NOAA, I see days and days of thunderstorm and rain possibilities ahead. Maybe you are retired and have some free time, or you work (and are just worn out tired) and need to get away for some detect6ing elsewhere?
Well, here's an opportunity to escape the wet and humid climate and take a trip to Wells, Nevada next month. We are including both of the first weekends in September to accommodate anyone's plans to hunt several old ghost towns on our 4th Welcome-to-Hunt Outing. It will be Labor Day Weekend, the 3rd, 4th and 5th, and continue thru Sunday September 11th.
We have had folks participating in our first three WTHO's from Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Anyone from anywhere is welcome to join the group who decide to show up, and I can guarantee you that:
1.. You'll find these old RR ghost towns and other places to be quite interesting to hunt, and some challenges many Relic Hunters haven't experienced.
2.. Scenery and a climate (generally drier) than you are used to in North Carolina.
3.. An opportunity to experience just how wonderful the FORS Relic really is, because if you make it over I'll let you use one of my Relics, with three coils tom choose from, and then you will KNOW that you want to get one in your hands full-time.
Just a thought and an open invitation since anyone is welcome. You'll meet Oregon Gregg there and maybe even he will want to use a Relic for a while and compare the performance against his FORS CoRe. Hummm, might be a few folks who'll be adding a Nokta model, or a Makro model, to their arsenal after hunting these sites. Matter of fact, we have seen an increase in both Nokta and Makro detectors on the 2nd and then on the 3rd WTHO after our first one in May of last year ,,, and there is very good reason for that, too.
