We've had wild weather in the Ozarks this Spring. Tornado sirens sounded for an hour last night. Here's part of NWS bulletin as the storm system moved into Missouri from Kansas:

BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
1159 PM CDT TUE JUN 3 2008

* AT 1154 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 7 MILES WEST OF
RACKET TO HARPER TO ARNICA...MOVING EAST AT 107 MPH. THESE STORMS
ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 80 MPH.

I've never even heard of a storm system moving in excess of 100mph. Fortunately it slowed down a lot before it got to us.
