Me and Lucky Luke returned to last week's undetected beach. This time, ice was a solid one and a half inch thick ! Lots of work to break, but the finds made it worth the effort!
With the unseasonnal warm temperature we were expecting free water, unfortunatly, this windy place had time to freeze a little.
The detector pro made me happy but some of the smaller finds were done along a coin in the scoop, so i dont know if i would have picked up the small gold and the small silver earrings.
Luke found a gold ring pretty fast and it took me a long while to get one. In fact, i'm still not 100% sure it's gold. But it's stamped like 8Kd and the diamonds are real ? Could it be 18K and the one is not showing ? Dont know for sure, but it's white and it kept it's color, not like the silver who turned grey.
Also got a nice heavy silver chain. I think they either put javel in the water or is it alkaline ? Look at the twonies how encrusted they turn out !
Had a leak again in my gloves and it took me a long while on the way back in the truck before my arm and hand stop hurting !
There was a depressing moment when im pretty sure i saw a bit of a gold chain in my scoop but it fell back in the water and i was just too cold to get it back...tryed to unload several scoops on the ice crust, but no luck :(

Anyway, i'll probably be back there. It's supposed to be mutch warmer tomorrow and with some luck, we'll be able to return after Xmas !

Have fun !
