You can tell winter is setting in. Not much happening on the old forum. Been raining here for days and more to come.

Very depressing weather forecast here. They are talking up to six inches of that white stuff :( Ugh!

:usaflag:The ground is'nt firming up yet but it's only a matter of days now. Hoping to squeeze one or two more hunts in before the inevitable.

I've been pulling coins with my Ace and sniper, but have been trying to get my main computer started again-it has the camera program. If all the rings I've found weren't junkers, I'd have a NEW computer. I tried putting in a Windows XP disc and booting from it , but it just says a file is missing so it can't start. I may end up being a computer nerd after all this.

It was a beautiful day here in Northern Indiana. I took my sweetie for a ride up to St. Joseph, Michigan. After stopping at two antique stores and a fudge shop we headed over to silver beach on Lake Michigan. Sweetie and I walked the beach lamenting that this was probably the last nice day of fall. I was swinging my Ace 350 and my sweetie carried the pro pointer. We dug up two quarters, two nickles, a dime and two pennies. This was the first time for us to detect together. I hope not the last. We ran into another Gent, his wife and granddaughter that were detecting. He had an Ace 250 and had not found anything yet.Sweetie and I will be heading to Florida the first week of December and I will be hitting the beaches there this winter. Last winter I watched the Treasure seekers, this year I'll join them. My first beach hunt today did show me that I'll need to get a good sand scoop. I used to fly model airplanes and could build planes in the winter. I fly fish now and have been able to tie flies in the winter. There isn't much other than research that detectorists can do in the winter. I have an idea, why don't all of you come to Florida this winter....;-)

Was water hunting all afternoon, only coins and junk ring. Was sweating in my 5MM chestwaders even though the water was cold. Was think it would have been nice to try out an AT Pro before ice comes. I think there is still time.:detecting:
