Even with Tesoros website being down, you can see view it. The site has been archived and the last snapshot of the entire website was taken. If you want to view it and or need manuals. You will need to go to the Wayback website, here's the link to Tesoros snapshot.

Thanks, Sven.

The Tesoro site isn't exactly down -- it still sends data when you visit the URL. But the site server seems to have been misconfigured such that it isn't sending the data as HTML, but rather as a downloadable file.

The file opens up in a browser, then you can also look at the webs source HTML code etc. Appears the picture files on Tesoro site server are gone. My guess they are taking the site down in parts. Someone who is web tech savvy would be able to tell us whats going on.

The images are still on the site; for example: http://www.tesoro.com/product/detectors/mojave/images/mojave-faceplate-picture.gif

I guess they might be taking the site down -- clumsily! But more likely someone just mistakenly changed a configuration setting on the web server. The content type of the data it returns should be "text/html" but instead is "application/x-httpd-php". This probably means that the HTML is normally generated by a programming language called PHP, but the server config has been changed so that's not being handled properly.

Talked to a guy at Garrett today and he said Tesoro is beyond finding a buyer and looks like they will be filing for bankruptcy. So sad.

Very sad indeed, Fematrailer.

That is really sad... not unexpected by this point, but I was hoping they would manage to recover.

Yeah, if I was GARRETT I wouldn’t be to confident about their future either...

Garrett is world's apart in sales compared to Tesoro. Just the security market would keep Garrett afloat if the hobby side slowed down. Tesoro failed because they refused to innovate and compete with other manufacturers to deliver what the market demands. Garrett will be fine.
