Well, it was an interesting morning hunt with my long time hunting partner as he gained a pound but, not weight wise.
We got permission at the first house we hit and being we did not have all day to hun wet just stayed there.
It is a huge property of about 6 acres and the owner said we could come back anytime.
It is a building that was used as a servants quarter near an adjoining property we hunted many times last season.
I am not quite sure where the most congregated areas where so, maybe next time we will have even better success then today.
On a side not my buddy found a 1 pound coin today (a first for him) and that is the crux of the heading of the post.
Quite a thick coin to say the least.
He also found tons of clad, a token, 4 wheats, and what I feel is the find of the day a really nice looking old broach.
Here are his finds for today.

I did not dig near as much clad as I stayed much farther back on the property but, was able to get two old ornate pieces of metal, a older oil token, brass padlock and a 06 Indian.
Here are my digs for our short morning hunt.

Of course we dug the usual junk hoping for a precious piece of jewelry but not today.
