You all are driving me to...

Lakota

Push my water hunting that extra mile. Wife got home a little later then normal. Nonetheless I headed out to a lake spot where her and many others have camped and been swimming for years. I knew I wouldnt have but a few hours and the weeds were pretty thick, it didn't stop me from wading in to see what I could make happen.

Nothing overly impressive, but targets were there and I noticed that you beach hunters mention if you are finding lead then you have the range to find gold.

I think I will be going back to try again. Nicest find was the Uncle Henry Schrade USA 167 filleting knife, I was hopeful that it might have been old enough to have real stag horn handle but alas imitation.

Good luck to you guys,

Lakota

After find that much in lead weights Lakota, I do believe that
I would be going back to that site and give it another going
over.....gold could be hiding there for sure.
Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Good luck finding that Gold ring..... or any ring...your persistence could pay off at any time.....I wonder how many pounds of lead we,hunters, recover a year????? HH

Thank you guys. My thoughts were the same on the gold. So I headed back out thers this evening and couldn't do better then some random fishing related metals and a boat load of lead sinkers and two pennies. I think the algae and weeds were worse then the other day.

Think I may hold off on this site till the plant life calms down.

We'll see,

Lakota
