I have had a few of those.

I thought the MXT was the detector for me. MAN, I'm I glad they came out with the F70/75.
It amazes me how they get excited on the MXT forum about getting a coin at 7".

Hi, Ziphius me and my wife specialize in detecting dangerous ghetto parks in Detroit, and they are loaded with silver. Kids don't even go to most of these parks anymore not without a parent, you know your in a bad place When full grown men jog in pairs or carry a pipe or half a pool stick. I always ware camouflage clothing and try to look poor. I've had so many different experiences some bad but believe it or not most where good, inner city folks seem to be moor inquisitive and truly think what we are doing is worth wile, i have been literally heckled by younger white folks at the beach, they will say, your not gonna find anything or throw money down in front of you, or they ask if this is what you do for a living. Normally no one says anything to us down in Detroit, Then again we try to look pretty scary. I will tell you guys one story that happened to us at Roosevelt park in Detroit. me, my wife Sharon and my step daughters old boyfriend Waylon where detecting by the old Michigan central train station, there were a few homeless people in the park, but that's not unusual, then a few more start to show up finally it was like a homeless convention 100's of down and out folks are showing up i was just about to say lets get the heck out of here when this old dude starts to mess with Waylon trying to grab his detector and finally he did grab it, so i say HEY OLD MAN LEAVE THAT KID ALONE! he comes over to me and says I'm a hundred years old and i'm gonna whip your a&* so i said looks like i gotta whip you hundred year old butt, just then a younger fella comes over and grabs the ole dude and takes him away saying leave them people alone, we decided to LEAVE NOW! as we got in my crappy old van we look over and see 3 full sized vans pull up, set up tables and feed these homeless folks that's why they where there.I can't blame that hundred year old man because i know how i get when I'm hungry HH.

Interesting story Tymstamon! Gang youths are the main concern here. You look for the boys wearing their colors and avoid those places. Or go to the park when it is a little busier. - Jim

A group of young 15 to 21 year olds may be worst case scenario, it can get serious real quick, i always give them eye contact and show im not afraid of them. The only problem can be the younger fellas trying to impress the older of the group, if it get's to that point i just leave.

If you ever are unfortunate enough to have it come down to a confrontation, with all other options, including running, exhausted, always choose and go toe-to-toe with the Alpha Male of the group. It's scare off some of the others immediately.

That is definitely an advantage. In Fl. I know of a case where an off duty cop got beat to a pulp by road raged guy.
