I found my 3rd gold ring in 10 days,sure am having a good run at the moment.Most of the other items I found in and around the large grassed parking area at a beach reserve,we are having very low spring tides here at the moment that makes detecting easy,found $54 in $1 and $2 coins along with $3 Australian and also an US quarter dollar.The two broken rings are very fragile and broke while cleaning them I guess all the years in the salt water has made them that way.........jim

I have never had brittle gold, but I have never dug any from Salt water either...I would have thought they were just plated if they broke.
