Yippee gold no:11 for the year

I spent a fairly quite afternoon detecting around the base of some large trees at one of our more popular beach side parks,I was steadily turning up
various coins.I was just ready to pack it in for the day when I got a solid 12-24 hit digging down only 2" there was that glint of gold and.... hey presto....
another 9kt for the collection plus a couple of dollars as well....KJ

12-24 is such a nice number, that number has produced some of my nicest finds! congrats!

Well done. Are you on the South Island or North? I was in Dunedin and Oamaru for a couple of weeks in 2011. Love your country. I'd consider moving there except I'd have to get a job.

Thanks we are in the north island,travelling around in our 5th wheeler,we work over the winter and spend the summer travelling.Thats probably why I get so many gold rings as I am able to spend a lot of time on our hobby.There is plenty of work going at Christchurch for the next 3 -4 years major rebuild going on after the earthquakes...
