Yike's, opened the apt. door and found a box..........

After an hour got to cut the tape holding the box together and opened the lid.
A wild thing jumped out, stood back and marveled at it's beauty. It looked like a virgin............unused, untouched...........
It's a mint ID Edge!! My wife almost freaked," not another...you spend more time with your hot detectors than you do with me, am I not hot enough for you...."

I traded my Tesoro Eldorado Umax for it, now I have two Edges.......because they are excellent machines when hunting Canadian clad.........after using the edge for 2 months,
determined that I could now part with the Eldorado.

Now I can leave different coils mounted on each, making it easier switching coils. Can take out two detectors or simply switch one box back and forth.
Never hurts to have a back-up.:spin:

Congrats on the second ID Edge. I like mine but it doesn't compare to the CZ3D in the depth/accurate ID department. It does perform and ID well at moderate depth in trash though. Not sure I'd ever learn to like it well enough to own two though. No single detector does it all and if you're gonna have multiple units better to have two different units. Just sayin'.

One of the main hurdles for all of us is finding a unit that we are happy with, and will hunt the conditions and places we most frequent.

True of multi units, have a Silver Umax and a Detectorpro Wader to cover the other areas. as well as several metal detector projects on the building board. Decided to build my own......Already built a White's Surfmaster PI Pro clone with an extra control and performance air testing compares to the Surfmaster Pro PI I just sold. Current projects are are several Tesoro Golden Sabre (TGSL-EDU, IGSL) versions that use either the Minelab Musketeer or Tesoro coils. Will be an interesting winter building. You know I will have to peek inside the Edge box...LOL

Having a backup that is identical may not be such a bad idea. At least you will be well familiar with the backup if you should need it. My main detector is the Edge and CoinStrike is my backup. They operate exactly the same way and the meter ID numbers are the same so switching back and forth is easy. They don't have those silly pulltab icons, 1 cent, 5 cents, dime, quarter icons; just numbers so they can be used for coins in any country. The C$ is heavier and after 3 hours I begin to feel it but I still enjoy using it.

SO ARE YOU SINGLE NOW? DID YOUR WIFE FILE FOR DIVORCE? :nono:

She said " oooh OK". So still stuck with the wife.
