Back in May I was doing a little research at a cemetery. When I was done I noticed a path headed off into the woods. I happened to have the Atpro in the car so I decided to run it down the path a bit. I got about ten feet and noticed an over grown hedge/bush thing that was fairly clear under neath. I decided to run the detector under there. had to get down and crawl under. Once I got under there I noticed a prescription bottle full of pills. Oxycodone. next to the pills was a plastic bag .these were the only two things under the bush. I picked up the pills and went to push the plastic bag out of the way. It was heavy. I reached in side and pulled out a Bersa 380 I am not much on guns,I have always been a knife guy.The gun had a clip and the hammer was pulled back.
I decided to turn the stuff over to the sheriffs department. I called the sheriffs department a few times in the next couple of weeks hoping that I could claim the gun if it hadn't been used in a crime but every time I called I got the run around and finally gave up. I am sure someone added it to there collection.
This is why I love this hobby, you just never know what your gonna find next. To dark again, Drat:(

Well that's pretty neat. Just glad for ya that nobody was standing behind that thing when you found it. At least you had the class to turn in it even if they don't have it to give it back to you. Good job. Karma sir, karma. May you find the weight of a Bersa 380 in gold! lol

I'm thinking that gun is in the police property room as evidence. Stashed gun and drugs bodes ill. You did the right thing and my have helped law enforcement in your community, big time.

I did go back to that spot a few days later hoping to find a big wad of 10s 20s 50s 100s:cry: no luck. your probably right Forrest Mc.
Metalpickle if I find the weight of a bersa 380 in gold I'll buy you a cold one:beers:
