From the land of the Bluenose....wrapped tighter than bacon around a scallop, wearing rubber gloves that were the colour of a cooked lobster, crowned with the furbie this effigy of a yeti was not going to freeze his grande derriere off today.
Decided that I would try and go to a spot to find something older than I wso it was off to the Dingle where a few pennies came my way and what looks to be old pewter cuff links. Have to clean them up and see if any design. Having satisfied the old thing next it was across the McDonald Bridge and to Lake Banook in search of silver and coins. Tried the wooded area and had the "essence of a Bluenoser" scared out of me as I turned around and there was this older gent with binoculars scanning what I thought was the back of some houses... a sort of senior peeping Tom. As it turns out he was watching birds....the kind with wings and pointed out this thing sitting in a tree which this bouy could barely see not having his specs on nor binoculars. After a pleasant chat we both moved on to do our respective dew.
Five steps after our departure from each other I got an iffy signal and dug up a charm braclet with Tinkerbell, the Little Mermaid, Mickey Mouse, Alice from Wonderland a cat and a rhinestone charm of some sort.....obviously not silver! Next came a key followed by the usual clad.
Satisfied and having no choice as it was getting dark I headed home to find.....that Marie who had left with her sister to go shopping before I went digging was not home! Guess there is some truth to that "shop till you drop" saying.
Take for the day was a mere 46 coins @ $1.10.
