Well, I got back to Vandercook lake in Jackson yesterday. The gold is still out there!! I was able to scrounge up 2 10K rings with dimonds and a small ring with no markings. Also the very nice sterling cross.

The tokens are a Dave and Busters 2003, A Thomas Jefferson presidential token and a registered tag from City Bank and Trust Jackson - Albian Michigan. I don't know if the bank is still around. I also picked up a 1.00 coin that has George Washington on the front and the Statue of Liberty on the back. A total of 8.39 cents in coins.

Still a bit cold but someone needs to get the gold!!

One of my friends picked up a 1918 merc out of the shallow water. He uses waders. At least somethings are still in the shallows.

I still have not hit the water but intend to take the plunge 31May (The week-end after Memorial Day  )

Still shopping for a farmer john

I didn't fare nearly so well when detecting Grand Haven last year. Looks like the good stuff is out a little deeper than the rip currents would let me go.

Kewl,
