Yesterdays hunt...

We've had some warm but very wet weather here lately and I went out to one of my fields. The top 5" of soil is thawed but still frozen after that so all the rain has nowhere to go. Like trying to walk in 5" of oatmeal :lol:

There's still a lot of brass, lead, copper and pewter in this field even after being hunted 7 times. And even more iron :sad: Every year it gets turned though so I'll go back next spring.

Assorted thimbles, utensil pieces, lamp parts and other bits & pieces.

A few buttons and a copper ring but only one coin. Badly worn and de-dated 1808-1814 cent. Still no silver from this field :shrug: Anyone know what the lead thing is bottom right? Found a slightly larger one a few years ago.
