Went back to a cellar hole area yesterday to see what we could turn up.Battled some heat and the skeeter assault for a while and then got rained on pretty good. Before we got soaked I was able to come away with some finds.Got coins #12 & 13 for the year,a button, fork, spoon end, harmonica reed and the remains of a clay pipe.Coin 13 is a 1849 Large cent that was 5 1/2" deep.Coin #12 has me kind of stumped,it was only 1 1/2" down.It is pretty well worn but it appears to have the bust of King George III.It measures 21.4 to 21.9 mm depending where it is measured. The back is slick and it almost looks like the letter M is on the top left of the bust.I know on the KG Coppers Georgivs is on this area and maybe the VI looks to be the M.By the measurement and look of it,it appears to be a Farthing. It has the look of 1700's British coins but could also be an Irish Farthing or British token.Any ID help would be helpful.
Thank you, John
