Yesterdays finds

Ken (Australia)

New member
My mate, Geoff and I went to a showground in another town for the day yesterday. The ground was like concrete and we had to leave a few targets till another day. Geoff got a few pennies and halfpennies, the oldest being 1888, two sixpences and a few dollars. My best were a florin 1952, two sixpences 44 and 48, two threepences 43 and 44 and an English threepence 1908 which I clipped with the digging tool. Thanks for looking.......HH.....Ken.

I love them finds ken. Them show grounds can be pretty good spots.Looking forward to trying my hand a few of them soon.

P.s.Had a local fellow find an 1878 U.S. trade dollar here in Dubbo at a vacant lot, using a Quattro a few months ago.

Have you thought about cateloguing the coins, where found, date etc? I do that with all my pre-decimals. great going over them, and remembering where I got them! You've obviously hit a great spot too. Looking forward to more posts and pics!
