A couple finds from yesterday where there has been some dirt moved around in one of the fields I hunt after harvesting. Minnie ball and one chewed up sharps and Hankins carbine. Also a back to a pocket watch. I originally thought the one piece was a knife handle but it turns out that it is a measuring tool for lumber. Used to be attached to something like a yard stick to measure lumber in ft. Old saw mills used to use these.....HH

Nice finds Speed. Some of my best finds were around old saw mills. Keep at that spot.

Yea I here ya CCH. Very hot ,I usually don't stay to long and have to drink plenty of water. I originally went on a fishing trip in the bar pits and saw that the farmer had cleared overgrowth all the way around a field that I have made several good finds in. Couldn't let the opportunity pass. Lol...let me know when your ready I've got several spots with permission would love to meet up one day!
