Yesterday's finds

Managed a few from yesterday. The coins were all within 6 to 10 inches apart with 2 out the same hole. Readings were +78. Dates are 1916, 2 are 1923, and 1936. Thanks for looking.

Check the mintmark on that 1916 merc. If it's a D then you have a pretty valuable key-date coin. Good luck.

The 1916 is badly worn, and looking at the others there seems to be no mintmark. I checked it out and it seems they were minted in Philadelphia.

In case you're uncertain, the mintmark would be on the reverse, on the bottom just to the left of the branches. It may be a no mint-mark coin but I'm hoping there's a D there for you.Nice find regardless.

Great finds! Love seeing all the Mercs come out of the ground. Sure wish it had a D on it though. Thanks for sharing and HH, Nancy

Now that's a nice haul. A mercury dime spill perhaps ? Those silver dimes sure do make that VDI and tone ID go "PING" ! Was wondering how deep down were they ???? Nice post. Thanks. CCH

Nice Merc stash, congrats!

congrats on the dimes, hope you find that D on the 1916. Jimmie

We've been hitting it pretty hard. So far a U.S. buckle,1858 flying eagle cent, 1857 large cent, bullets, and some flat buttons. This is not to mention ALL the junk, but that's all part of the game! Good luck hunting.
