yesterdays finds with the Vaquero

I got up with my buddy yesterday for a hunt before the rain came in and we hunted a couple of old homsites.
I found the sturrip and the dog tag at he first site, but did not have any luck finding coins.
The area was littered with zinc lids, car parts, and cans which made hunting tough.
I also found the flat button which looks older than the site we found it at.. maybe it's not that old.
The second site yielded better results with 2 wheats - 1926 and 1934 and 2 indian head cents -1891 and 1905.
The 1926 wheat and the 1905 indian head cent were about 6 to 7 inches deep and gave very faint signals and it did not repeat itself when scanned from different directions, but the tone caught my attention enough to dig... glad I did.
Surprisingly, the 1891 and the 1934 were only about 2-3 inches deep.
That Vaquero and small coil is sure a pleasure to have when on those long hikes through the woods in search of old home sites!!
Thanks for looking,
Felix

Old coins and relic ,sounds like good sites.
Congrats on the finds ..

you picked a sweet heart of a machine to do it with i use the 5.75 coil first over then go right back to stock to find the deeper stuff i find most of the 1840's sites coins are usually 6" down on average
