Yesterday afternoon went to a spot at the back of the local showground for a couple of hours. It's right out the back in the middle of nowhere and a few years ago the area was fenced off and used over a couple of years to hold a local music festival. I've been over a couple of times before and just cherry pick the $1 and $2 coins. I'd found a few dollars when out popped a 1943 threepence. Bit strange as I'd never seen any predecimal coins here before. To cut a long story short I ended up with another threepence, 1924, two pennies, a halfpenny and the last coin for the day a nice 1944 florin. I don't know what was going on there but I hope I've just touched the edge because I'll be going back again....Thanks for looking....Ken.

God, Ken!!!!! Do you ever find any of those pesky new clad coins, or only the old ones? I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm just jelous.:yo::|, but you know I'm imnpressed. I gotta kid you again in a positive way. Most people find a whole bunch of new coins and a few old ones, (I think), but your almost the opposite. Most of your stuff seems to be old coins. You must be doing your homework, and I know you are to a large degree. I wonder what they used that show ground for before the music festival. Pretty interesting place. Love to hear about any future findings there. P Marc. :|P.S. Ken, by the way, I've read a lot of your posts, but I forget what coil you use the most. Are you using that WOT 15 incher, or just the standard Minelab 10.5. Just curious.
