Good couple hours at a local park........man the e-trac rocks!

The penny I can just make out as a 1949. The soil at my site is not kind to copper.

These are my finds for today....on the Indian Ocean side of Australia at a park...using Andy S's pattern and mode with a couple of adjustments. Talk about corrosion PLUS on the copper....

I see you flicked your "silver switch" on three times yesterday. I managed to switch it on only once :crazy:.................it was down quite deep in amongst some serious iron .

Came through loud and clear. All of these coins where basically being masked by a heavy iron mineral and were down quite deep.

I found them at a park that I have detected over and over again with ALL the Explorer's XS to SE and with the White's DFX and my friends with their MXT's .

I really like the Explorer and the way it's been able to find many other coins in this soil BUT the Etrac is doing the job better. I know there are more coins to be found there. Used to be an old fair ground. The dirt is so full of iron and ferrous pebbles.

It needs a detector like the Etrac to go that little bit deeper in this type of soil.

Yes, you're right THE ETRAC REALLY ROCKS alright....

Nice finds Hard Nosed Dave, i don't mind finding the corroded pennies.....a corroded pre-decimal is better than a screw top!! :bouncy: let's you know your settings are good too!

I found a 1889 UK 3 pence not long ago (1st one)....nice coin cleaned up.

I'm a fan of Andy's pattern, with a couple minor site dependant tweaks as well. I'm sure that my deep finds have increased since putting my gain up to 30 also........so I'm in a 'happy place' with my e-trac at the moment.

Cheers,
Greg
