Yesterdays finds. All pre 1950s!

Today I went back to a spot where there were houses on my 1861 and 1874 maps which are no longer there. I have known about this place for years now and have done a little bit of detecting but mostly antique bottle digging.

This time I went a little further back from one of the foundations in the woods and detected for about 45 minutes. It was almost impossible with the overgrown brush and misquotes. The first coin I pulled out was a 1902 Great Britain One Cent piece. About thirty feet away I found some other coins that were dropped in a small three foot area.

1941 wheat cent
1945 nickel (35% silver)
1933 Canadian nickel
1954 Italy nickel (aluminum)

That Britt penny has a really nice patina, congrats on all the great coins.

Perhaps there was a collector of coins who lived in that area?
