Hey All,

Did a quick hunt in the same area I found the other medieval coins and found this beauty. I have it in olive oil right now to soften the dirt. I am trying to make out the lettering but I'm not sure. Can any of you eagle eyes make the letters or numbers? Also I'm not sure what's on the reverse. Thanks

I looked around and di not find anything like it but seems I have seen something like it before. Show us a picture after it

After many H2O2 baths, a light brushing and a olive oil finish it is ready for a plastic protector.

Top center there is a cross and starting clockwise there is a P H I L I P P V(U) S III D & G. A castle in the center of the coin and to it's right running vertical and sideways are LL. On the reverse there is a lion with R E X to it's left and above the lion it looks to be a 1 6 ??. There are digits on the lion's right but I can't make them out.
I believe I know the coin now but I will let you guys do your homework.
