Yesterday's farm field finds...

These were at the old house site where I dug the Confederate Staff Eagle last week. Sadly that KY button in the picture is dated a few years after the war.
That is an intact rifle tampion with a little cork left on it (keeps the rain out of the barrel). I don't know what the twisted piece is. Looks like it has a spoon handle.
That's the first thimble I've found that's brass on the inside and iron on the outside. And the coin is an 1895 indian.
 
Interesting lot Neal. Gotta be more there. My first farm field hunt was a bust - one wheat and a harness buckle. lol
