We have been getting very high winds here on the Texas Gulf Coast all this week, the tides have been very rough and really tearing up the shoreline. It's been years since this has happened so yesterday I decided to go hunt the beach, had some good luck. Yesterday I found a 1942 walking half, 1944 merc, no date buffalo, 21 quarters, 34 dimes, 19 nickles 55 pennies and 16 wheaties with date ranges from 1913-1957. I also found a couple of junk rings. Today I went again and found 3 silver quarters with dates 1944, 1953 and 1964. 4 silver rosies, dates 1951, 1953, 1963 and 1964. One war nickle, 1944, 1 buffalo, 1936 and one Tiffany Silver ring, I looked up this ring on the web and it sells for $175. I also found 23 quarters, 47 dimes, 26 nickles, 117 pennies and 33 wheaties with dates ranges from 1935-1956. Found some other junk jewelry also. In all the years I have hunted this beach I have never seen cuts from 12-16" deep, I will be going back tomorrow morning with my hunting partner that hasn't been able to go due to work, I am retired so I don't have to worry about going to work. The waves were so rough that they would slam against the eroded banks and you could actually see coins going into the water. On Easter Sunday I went to go check out the beach and it was wall to wall people and the surf was very deadly, one guy ended up drowning on Easter Sunday, may he rest in peace. Here are some pics of the finds I made the last couple of days. Thanks for looking. John
