Yesterday s finds maybe a 3 ringer??

I was out detecting along the Thames river and found a hill with what looked like old fox holes about 4 the whole site was littered with iron..
I pulled a old rim fire casing and a fired bullet looks like a 3 ringer? As I never find any 3 ring bullets here in Ct .
Maybe you guys can identify better both?

Cant see a primer so a rimfire case I’m thinking, cant tell mouth diameter……. No idea on the bullet, thats foreign material out my way!
 
My guess is an early black powder rimfire based on the straight walled case. first guess would be a 45 70, post civil war and very popular out west although used throughout the US. Looks like it hit it's mark.
