I have made a couple of short hunts the last two days picking up a little clad, two dollar coins and a lot of Ford vehicle keys. The strangest dug item was a 12" policeman's sap that I dug in the sand at a park playground. They have not been carried by Idaho officers since the 1970s. I got a VDI reading of +75 indicating penny at 8". I dug down to about 12" before recovering it. It had to have just been buried as it was clean and dry. I had hunted the same spot yesterday. Someone was definitely hiding it and along I came swinging my MXT with 8" DD Excelerator coil. Ya gotta love it. HH Dennis in Idaho

Things that make you go Hmmmmmm. That's strange about the cops beater stick. Hmmmm. Why in the world would it be so deep???? Was the ground tampered with when you found it? Makes you wonder. The leather is in good condition. And the FORD keys. No wonder they threw those away. F-O-R-D.......Fix Or Repair Daily. Oh, I'm going to get it for that.

Great finds Dennis. WOW!!!!!!

WOW! That leather wrapped lead sap is a blast from the past. When I started in law enforcement in 1978 I used to carry one of those in a special made "SAP" pocket in my police trousers. About the time I had retired in 2002 the Sap had long been replaced by the ZAP, or better known as the Tazer. Great Find! Mike

I thought Ford stood for "First On Race Day". My dream is to get a vintage 66 or 67 Mustang when I retire in the next year or so. It won't recapture my youth, but hey, what a great looking car those older Mustangs were. I digress. Great finds as always Dennis. How much do Nancy, Treasure Mike and yourself charge for MXT lessons? Do you do road tours...like say to North Carolina?

Pete

I don't know if I would be the one to give lessons on the MXT, but I would be happy to try. I think road trips to North Carolina would be a little out of the question unless your willing to pay my way, which sounds pretty good then you could show me where to find some old coins,LOL.
