....others, especially CZ fans, seem to take alot longer, because as I always say you really gutta clear your head of how all your old units functioned. The C$ is a strange beast. It has frightened off many a folk who had no patience. I've seen too many "try 'em all" guys come & go. Some do airtests in their house, or find 1 piece of iron, & then it's on the Classifieds an hour later You really have to give it a fair shake. The C$ does not airtest well, like say a 1270, but in the ground matrix is where you "git er dun" I, myself was doubting weather I was really going to like this thing when I was doing the field test. I dug alotta iron at first, only because I was not checking the target from different angles. This is a typical mistake. You see a +30 on the first sweep & start digging. But if you had swept from the opposite direction it would have dropped to say -14 or something. Now, I never dig iron unless it's a nice, heavy Colonial axe or something (a desired find). Some hate the pinpoint set-up, I really have grown to love it's accuracy. But most of all, it's uncanny ability to pick goodies outta heavy trash is why it's my favorite machine. So, ask all the questions ya want & just take your time with it. Go to a ballfield & dig some clad just to see how it "locks" onto a coin & will stick from each angle. Another huge mistake I see beginners make is they hear the C$ is great in trash so they bring it to their trashiest site the first day. Not a good idea. Head to the "bad spots" after several hours. But, if your patient & eager to learn some new technology you should have some fun.....

I'm glad you are all fired up and don't live in my neighborhood The C$ is only as complicated as you want to make it. I think the people that complained of such a long learning curve must of been using a Compadre before they bought a C$!! Anyway if you have problems, this is the forum to come to. Good Luck Mike!!
