I had 2 V3's...although never a V3i. I just do not wish to get so into tuning a detector any longer like i did when i was younger. This is why the Vx3 seemed to be a possibility for me this year when spring comes. I have not seen anyone recently with any feedback. has anyone here used one for any amount of time. If so what was your thoughts on it overall. the fields tests on lost treasures have become worthless anymore.

I've a VX3 for about 4 mos.and still very much learning even though all you really have to do is turn on an go. I've played around with settings but mostly stay with factory settings. The performance is close to your V3s from what i have read. I really love the simplicity and ease of use of this machine. If simple is what you re after I'd have to say this machine is the best on the planet

I have used both and I have to say I like the simplicity of the VX3. My soil here is quite mild and the VX3 does great! Both machines are fun to use.

i have the vx3.. ive owned alot of whites machines and vx3 is my favorite for sure. v3i and vx3 are close in proformance...i like the fact that its a simple machine..i like some settings but too many is just that too many. its plenty deep enough in my ground. ive had it since dec. 2011 but have found alot of great finds already, and several finds were at impressive depths.with the new lithium ion battery it runs over 20 hours.!!

Thanks....I am in the same opinion as you as far settings for me personally. I have used many Whites machines and was wiz with the DFX for quite a few years. back then all the adjustments were fine...now...not so much...for me.
So the VX3 has, on paper, what may be more my style. i liked the V3 i had...worked fine...just want something slightly less.......
