Yeller Feller air tests

I just got it today & decided I would air test it. Turned the sensitivity up to 8 & there was no noise from electrical interference I know that we have.
It beeped 100% of the time on a quarter at 9" & intermittently out to at least 10". Same in all modes. Close to 1" less for dime & lost close to an inch for each sensitivity #.
I wanted to check the effect on the nickel signal that notching out foil & pulltabs might have. Nickel was intermittent at 9" but didn't seem to be 100% repeatable beyond 6". HH, George (MN)

And so what are your conclusions? <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

my testing. It did make some false beeps at sensitivity 8 in the front yard, so it probably is fair to say it doesn't like my soil as well as my air. I guess for someone like me who doesn't like to dig everything, the most meaningful test might be how deep it can more or less lock onto a coin. HH, George (MN)
