Well, the wheaties are popping out of the ground. Went out for a short hunt tonight at an old school, and had a few wheaties pop out of the ground. Had to dodge the snow snakes, and find the little bits of thawed ground. I had hit this spot in the past with my old 6000 di/pro and the V3 seemed to be a little wheatie magnet tonight. I'm sure there's some silver there somewhere, probably hidden under a snow bank :)

Hmm the defrosting continues. Hit another school tonight, built in 1918 ground is mostly frozen so I found a few unthawed spots under the trees, with a nice coating of leaves over the ground. Popped a few clad quarters out of the ground about $3 dollars worth, a few dimes, and some zincolns. Then right at the end in a remote corner of the school property.. I had a really nice beep..beep kept bouncing between quarter..and 50 cent piece, so I scrubbed the leaves back..and scraped the dirt a bit and out popped a 50 cent piece. Alas...not a silver one, but it's only the second 50 cent piece I've ever found..so I was tickled to see it. Experimented with the deep silver program some, modified it to 3 frequency..just to see what happens. Nothing special, had some instability problems for a little while, so I just popped it back over to coin/jewelry.

Congrats on your finds. The ground is frozen in the morning here and thawed out by afternoon. Best find so far was a 1971 swiss franc. Continued success in your searches.
