YAY RACER!!!!!

Davethejunky

TROLL #2
Got out today for the first time since October. It was about 40 degrees today and same for the past few days here. Decided to go to a place where the city tore out about 3 blocks of old homes due to the river flooding.

Ground was hard as a skating rink in most places but found a few places where the sun shined on the ground and loosened it up enough for me to get my Samson in the ground.

I spent about 3 hours out cherry picking good signals with my Racer and OOR coil until I got too miserable cold. Managed to get 5 wheats, 1 war nickel, $1.37 in new stuff along with the usual trash. Left a lot of good signals because the ground was too hard.

But I did find something I was totally unprepared for... An 1893 Columbian Expo half:shock: it was in with a square nail about 5 inches deep. I just about dropped a steaming pile of hate right there on the ground.

I just ordered the Mars Tiger coil for the Racer and going to buy an ATPro next week.

Thanks Rick. I think James blew me off and went to SD. Lovin that Racer buddy.

Sweet bud on the big silver  we are still frozen solid up here in Maine

Nice digs Dave.Congrats on the silver half !

Now thats a nice find . I also went over the spot i covered with the Vista Gold and only got one hit it was a round steel button. It had some low in it the Vista cleaned up the spot good , I found no matter what detector , the Cut nails will give phantom signals what nice about the Racer is you get that low tone and most badd targets go low and lose the false when turned at a 90.

Most ground here is rock solid as well. Yesterday was a bonus day I guess.

Thanks Keith. Your videos on the Racer helped a great deal. You even talked me into a Racer 2. My Minelab takes a back seat these days.

The 1893 Expo half is a nice coin, congrats!

Nice that there's NEL and MARS coils to choose from now, would be even better if there was a US disty for the MARS coils.

Let us know how the MARS coil pans out, been interested in how the perform on the Racer for a while.

Brian

I think I will make a video comparing the Tiger and stock coils. Will be interesting.
