The activity on this Tesoro forum is far more prolific than that of many other metal detector forums foreign or domestic on Findmall. Whatcha reckon the reason for that is. Whatever it is it's sure got me rethinking my next detector purchase.:help:
P.S. And the participation on this forum never seems to die down. But it sure does on a lot if others.

I have found this forum to be of real value. Not only in the knowledge of many of the guys--and there is a lot--but their willingness to answer questions no matter if they've been asked a dozen times before. Maybe it's a reach to say it speaks to the kind of people that are attracted to Tesoros. Or maybe not :)

What's even more puzzling to me, is that we haven't ran out of stuff to talk about yet! Tesoro has been making the same detectors with the same tech since the 90's lol!

I wouldn't trade mine for a magic wand, I like em just the way they are too.

I'm relatively new to metal detecting and was liking the idea of a Tesoro for several reasons. I wanted American-made quality and good durability. I wanted small and light, and I wanted powerful. Tesoro offered all I'd asked for, plus a lifetime warranty! My first Tesoro was a new Tejon and since, I've bought a new Compadre. Both are a blast to use. Picked up a used Cortes but it had seen better days and went back to where it came from. If you ever do need to service one, I've learned that Tesoro will help you out quickly and without hassle. When I'd emailed Tesoro support asking about the used Cortes I'd bought, I immediately got a friendly call from Allan @ Tesoro, explaining the process. Couldn't ask for better support!

Have another used Tesoro coming in today, a Vaquero with extra coil, and I'm hoping I'll love it as much as the Tejon and Compadre. As others have said, the Tesoros aren't the very latest technology, but they're quality products that work well and are always fun to play with. ^_^

Yeah buddy! Got me thinking on another Tejon. I had one years ago and did pretty good with it. My deepest find was a scabbard tip in a confederate trench...the hole was length of the entrenching tool. I miss that detector! May have to sell one of my VDI detectors in the future.

That's it in a nutshell. Most folks run out of good conversation until the next, newest, bestest detector comes along. But that talk soon dies away too.

Another key factor is this forum is not divided into a sub forum for each model like many other brands.
So this forum is always jumping, interesting because all Tesoro users come to one place to converse.

:beers:

My Compadre accounts for little less than a quarter of my hunting time. Yet, in the right areas it's a tough cookie to beat. So than its also true that this Tesoro forum is a lot livelier than the others.

Doesn't take a lot of brain power to make them work extremely well for the newbie.
Still a simple to operate brand of detector with jam packed performance for the seasoned pro,
making it a fun detector to use. I always suggest a Tesoro to newbies unless they are looking for a pretty
machine with all the bells and whistles that need visual ID help...............
