This afternoon, I went back to the farmstead where I found the ugly Barber Quarter a couple days ago. The X-70 and I found a nice Barber Dime this time out. She is not as big as her sister is, but she is much better looking. Unfortunately, she was the only one home today. But, I'll be back! I know where they live!!! HH Randy

Nice find Randy, was that some more 3KHz silver?

Go ahead and keep the girls all to your self. Be that way:devil:
Sure must feel good being out there getting the goodies.
Nice silver, grats.

all metal with sensitivity of 26, manual GB at 28, 4 tones, slight threshold hum and full bore on the volume. I found this gal about 30 feet from her where her sister was sleeping the other day. I guess the house must have been burned down as the area is chocked full of old nails. But, if you learn to ignore the low tones, pass up the TID 48 and look for consistent readings when making an X, it works quite well. HH Randy

Hunting saltwater sand after storms, one of the banes of my existence has been pieces of iron/steel scale. Usually about the size of a quarter, they ring as a high coin on every machine I've tried with the exception of the X70. Changing to all metal mode, these pieces of scale always wrap from -8 to +48 without fail. This has saved a whole bunch of useless digging.
