Ya i'm grouchy:ranting: .............

Wayne in BC

New member
Yesterday i took herself to the hospital for scheduled surgery to remove excess scar tissue under her arms and just at top of the ribs on each side from last years double mastectomy. She was in surgery at approx 10 am and in recovery by noon.
I brought her home at about 3 pm and she was/is quite comfortable and upbeat. On the way home i picked up the scripts for antibiotics and painkillers, that was a kick in the wallet :surprised:
Sleep for her last night was mighty skimpy and therefore for me too.

This AM she is on her computer cause that is her connection to the world and suddenly her puter restarts then has no wireless connection but right next to her mine is working fine.
I tried all the standard fixes for an hour, getting more frustrated all the time cause no way would it find a signal and of course the anti virus is popping up steady whining about not being to update and saying........yer gonna die cause yer puter is not protected! Stupid thing!

Finally i start checking her windows updates, no prob there so i look into her Toshiba update program and bingo! She ignored the warning that her Realtec wireless network access card drivers needed to be updated so i hardwire her laptop to the net and reinstall the drivers with the new one. Problem solved.
Of course while this is going on and i am trying to concentrate the advice is flowing from her  and the dawg i am looking after for friends who are on a trip ........
has cruised the yard and eaten some cat chit and some chicken chit and is happily barfing on the porch right next to the patio door where i sit. Also my cat who has a kitten has spent the last several days whacking the crap outta that stupid dawg and me rescuing it while the crat struts around real smug like just to pizz me off  Now i know why i didn't get another dawg, at least one that stoopid and pussy like!

Her wounds are bleeding through the stitches now cause she won't slow down on using her arms and is worried about an old t shirt getting blood on it
Some days it just ain't worth chewing through the bars.

Not much one can do about days like that except get thru em'. Sometimes grouchy's been bought and paid for. I'd say they need to credit your account Wayne. Tell Carol I send her big hugs. Hang tight Wayne :)

I sure hope no bear makes the mistake of raiding your garden today...would be poor timing on his part. Now that the dust has settled, I hope that the rest of the day will be better for you and Carol. Hang in there, it will get better! Kelley (Texas)

Sounds like yer handlin things better'n I would Wayne!

Quick thinkin on the computer thing!

That stuff can't be fixed too good with a pipe wrench, so I have to leave it to them-as-knows!

Hang in there Partner!!

My wife and step-daughetr are buttin' heads today. I did the manly thing and got the hell outa Dodge!
If I've learned nothing living with the finer sex......it's knowing when to stand and when to run! :surrender:

Grace was just making it clear to our 21 yr. old today that this property has ceased to be a frat house for 20 yr' girls (and no Wayne and Royal,....you can't sleep over ).........effectively IMMEDIATELY. :look: I'm thinking it has to do with those pancake batter footprints all over the kitchen floor again. Or maybe it was the fact that she needed my metal detector to locate the kitchen sink. In any case Willy, I've had enough too. Why just this morning I went to do a tinkle in the kitchen sink and as you've probably already guessed,.....it was full of dishes. I had to walk all the way to the toiley. Boy was I mad :smoke:

you have any bites on that house yet?

what the heck, shat eating dogs will drink antifreeze too in a pinch :D

Most of the time, life just ain't fair!!!

But try to hang in.... sooner or later... it will get better

All the best

Fair winds

Nothing on the house front. A few snoopers but that's about it. We haven't got it listed with any real estate agent or company so we're not really getting any exposure except for drive-bys. Going to decide today or tomorrow whether to list with an agent for two months or wait until the spring. I'm leaning towards trying for a couple of months with real estate because I'm not convinced that next year will look any better. Anything happening with your place in Pontiac ?

wouldn't be sleeping anyway;) ........well there was a time when we wouldn't be. I'm impressed that the sink ain't too high for ya though:surprised:

fair price four years ago was 198k. I am thinking about just letting it go for what I owe, 60k. It is costing me 10-13 k a year to keep open. I can live rather well on another 12k a year.

i'll die before i run......i ain't afraid of any livin man and here i'll make my stand, with a gun i'll make my stand..........remember the movie and song? Didn't apply to wimmen though:lol:

This market won't even let you give the stupid place away. And knowing you the way I do, I know that it's in move-in condition with nothing waiting on repairs. Makes me ill to think about it. Less than half of it's market value only four yrs. ago. I may have to hang on longer than I was hoping for as well. Would've been nice to start setting my table for retirement in a couple of years but at least I've still got a pretty decent paying job to tide me thru it............for now. If we don't get a nasty winter this year, our contract due this February isn't going to leave us in a very good bargaining position. Every company's crying poverty these days. Even places like the mine that are virtually recession-proof. Crap........I wished I had the dough to buy up a few places.
