Naturally I went straight to the yard and just turned it on without reading the manual first.
Then about ten minutes later I gave up and admitted defeat, After reading some of the
manual I had a better grasp of what to do and it performed much better.
Tomorrow I'll take it out for our maiden voyage to a nearby park and see what's all the fuss is about.
I'll use just the stock coil for the first few days and stick with the auto settings until I know it better.
There's one thing I noticed with all the minelabs I had. It seems that they're geared for the tall guy.
I'd like to shorten that front rod a inch of two,

Hey Dang congrats on getting the X-70 in! I do know that they now make a short rod for the 70. I am pretty sure you can order just that. I guess you could always cut it down also, Beale.
