XTERRA COIL AVAILABILITY

I was just wondering why it is so hard to find a used xterra coil? Is it because not many xterra's sold or are the coils so good people don't want to trade or sell them? I have been trying to buy a used coil on another site for almost two weeks with not even one offer! I just put an ad today, on findmall , i'll see if response is better. (it should be as this forum is the most viewed, most organized, and easy to understand/navigate)

I think the issue may be related to Minelab's incredible backlog. From what I HEAR, pretty much anything is taking awhile right now since they're getting so pounded with orders for gold detectors. Now that impacts the X as well because they have a prospecting mode, so there go your HF coils. On top of that, the 3khz coils have always been hard to find and disappear in a heartbeat when posted. That is considered the coil of choice for finding old silver. From what I've seen in the past, the MF coils just don't really pop up too often to begin with-I don't know if that's because people don't like them, or just gravitate towards each end of the spectrum. Myself, I'm full up on HF coils and will be looking for a LF coil when funds permit. Since I don't have the money yet, I can sort of 'afford' to sit back and wait, but I can understand it being frustrating when you're READY to snag a deal that just isn't out there! Good luck!

I bought a 6inch coil off here. There are alot of x-terras out there and the 6inch coil is one that not many people get rid of and not as many people have the 10 18.75 coil. I use my 6 inch coil about 75 % of the time. And have found some good coins with it.

The used coils move fast. Expecially the 9" LF CC and the 10.5 MF DD. I have not watched for thebig DD in 18.75 but may some day.
