Xterra 705 settings

Reasty

New member
Generally I would like to know what setting I should use when looking around old gold fields, 120plus years old area. wish to find old coins ,gold or relics. can anyone give me what setting I should you please. Reasty

Although I have taken the X-Terra out on the goldfields a few times, so only consider myself to be a novice in the gold hunting stakes, You might want to type in BT to the search engine of the X-Terra forum in the authors field or look up FAQFAQ where some of his posts can also be found in regards to using the X-Terra on the goldfields. BT is a very accomplished gold hunter, but as he started working for the Whites Importer here in Oz a few years back, he switched brands. That said, he did quite well with his X-Terra. Marco Nero used to post here on the X-Terra forum some years ago as well. I believe that he may still be posting on the gold hunting forum here still. At the time of his posts here, Marco didn't have anywhere near the experience that BT had, but you may still learn a thing or two from them.
I don't know which country you are in Reasty, but both BT and Marco are Aussies (as am I). BT was hunting down in the Victorian Golden Triangle, which is well known to be difficult ground to detect in. If you live in the US then your ground will most likely be a lot milder, so easier to detect in.
Good luck with you gold hunting.
Mick Evans.
