Xterra 70 & Batts

I just use Alkalines, I usually get 30+ hours. Straight from the manual "4 x AA Alkaline/Carbon/Lithium or NiMH/NiCad" "Do not use rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries as their voltage is too high. Non-rechargeable Lithium batteries may be used."

It doesn't really matter. I've been using the same set of rechargeable batteries on my X-Terras for the last 7 years and they are still going strong. They don't last as long as they once did, but still more than enough for a full days hunt.
Mick Evans.

I use the Energizer 2300 mAh rechargeables for the past 7 years. I have 2 sets and they are the cheapest way to go. As much as I MD I could not afford to use the throw a way batteries. I get 20 to 25 hours out of charge.

By Sanyo. I have used then for the last 2 years and they never seem to run down. They are type 2, 2,000mAh.
