Xterra 70, Anyone use on Salt water Beach

I was curious if anyone has done any extensive detecting on salt water ( Florida) beaches with an Exterra 70. And if so how does it handle the salt? I live near the Jacksonville area and purchased a used Xterra 70 and want to do some beach hunting. I am new to this forum but have detected off and on for several years. Thanks for any responses.

Make sure you check out the FAQFAQ at the top of the page. Some very good info listed on using the 70 at the beach. Good luck to you, Beale.

its performance was actually pretty decent... No issues on the dry sand what so ever and even in the damp was pretty good. Falsed somewhat at the water line... Not the depth demon of an explorer but nowhere near the weight either...I believe florida sand isn't as mineralized as mid atlantic beaches, so go for it..
