xterra 50 or white's mxt or m6

If any of you can draw a comparison for me, I'd appreciate it. I'm close to buying a new machine. I like the stability of White's, but like the weight and price of the Xterra. If X is as solid as an MXT, I've got to buy one. Thanks..

I've had at least one of each you mentioned. Of those three, I will not own another M6. But I currently have an MXT and an X-Terra 50. Depending on the area you hunt and the targets you seek, one may be "better for you" than the other. Both are good detectors. But I find that the notch discrimination, audio tones, choice of two coil frequencies, noise cancel channels and weight of the X-Terra make it a tough contender. Now that the small coils are available for the X-Terra, my MXT doesn't see much action. JMHO HH Randy

I've had two M6's and even though I think it's as nice a detector that White's offers the Xterra 50 is better. I love having notch discrimination on the 50. Plus a full pound lighter not to mention it uses only 4 batteries compared to the M6's 8. Now if your wanting the MXT for it's prospecting feature I would suggest the Xterra 70.
