XT70: button pinpoint problem

doudy

New member
Hello,

I have a XT70 since 6 mounths .... but the button pinpoint is more and more hard to activat : i have to press 2 or 3 time to activat this button ... Have you the same problem ?

(sorry for my poor english)

thanks for your help.

d.

I use the prospecting mode for pinpointing and find that it does a better job. The iron mask feature is also handy for knocking out some garbage. Seeing as the X70 has separate sensitivity settings for AM & Disc., I can set my 'pinpoint' sensitivity to suit myself. As for the difficulty in activating PP mode, try attaching one of those clear vinyl self-adhesive (abt 1/4") to the button. If that doesn't work, you might as well send 'er in to Minelab. ...Willy.

I currently have my X-Terra 50 at Minelab for repair with this same pinpoint button problem. Hopefully getting it back soon before the snow falls.

Thanks for your answer.
The complete control box is it changed or only repaired by your retailer?

My XT70 is under guarantee ....

I don't even use the pinpoint feature. I can cross cross the object from different angles and know where the object it located. I found this procedure even easier with the 5 x 10 coil. That coil was spot on for pinpointing with just an X swing.
